A shocking police pursuit through Sydney’s west has resulted in the arrest of two teenagers.
The chase began when police attempted to stop an allegedly stolen Volkswagen Tiguan on Valeria Street at Toongabbie at around 5:25 pm yesterday.
But the car didn’t stop, and police gave chase through Toongabbie, Blacktown, Kings Park, and Doonside.
The Pursuit Comes to an End
The car finally came to a stop on Doonside Crescent, where three people jumped out. Police were hot on their heels and quickly caught up with them.
A 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were arrested nearby.
The 17-year-old has been charged with a string of serious offences, including robbery in company, being carried in a conveyance taken without consent, and aggravated break and enter.
A History of Alleged Crime
Police allege that the 17-year-old was involved in a series of break-ins at Blacktown, Wentworthville, Seven Hills, and North Parramatta last month.
He’s also been charged with special aggravated break and enter, as well as aggravated break and enter with intent to steal.
The young man was refused bail and will appear before a children’s court today.
The Younger Boy’s Fate
The 14-year-old boy was charged with being carried in a conveyance taken without consent.
He’s been granted strict conditional bail and will appear before a children’s court in August.
The incident is a sobering reminder of the dangers of crime and the importance of police work in keeping our communities safe.
