Things got awkward at Coldplay’s recent concert in Boston when a CEO and an executive from a software company were caught on the kiss cam, allegedly cheating on their spouses!
The internet was quick to identify the pair as Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s chief people officer.
The two were spotted getting cozy on camera during the concert, and when they realized they were being broadcast to the entire stadium, the woman covered her face and the man ducked out of frame.
Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, joked about the situation, saying, “Oh, look at these two. You’re all right. You’re OK. Oh, what?
Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
The Fallout
The video quickly went viral on social media, racking up millions of views and thousands of comments. Online sleuths were quick to dig up information on the pair, revealing that they were both married – but not to each other.
Byron’s LinkedIn account was flooded with comments, with people joking about the incident.
His wife’s Facebook page was also inundated with comments of sympathy, with some people urging her to take her husband to court.
Following the fallout, Byron’s wife allegedly removed his last name from her Facebook profile. Cabot, who only started at the company seven months ago, has also been at the center of attention.
The Company’s Response
Neither Byron, Cabot, nor Astronomer have publicly responded to the incident. The company, founded in 2018 and based in New York, has remained silent.
Coldplay is currently wrapping up the North American leg of their Music of the Spheres World Tour and will head to England in August for a series of shows at Wembley Stadium.
