Sad news out of Forth, Tasmania, where a fatal crash has claimed the life of a man in his 50s.
At around 12:40 pm yesterday, emergency services responded to a horrific crash on Wilmot Road, where a tree had fallen onto a 4WD utility as it was travelling on the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle sadly died at the scene, and our thoughts and condolences are with everyone affected by this tragic event.
The passenger, a woman in her 50s, was provided medical assistance at the scene and was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries.
