Phil Collins’ Representative Refutes Hospice Care Rumors, Confirms Knee Surgery A spokesperson for Phil Collins has dismissed rumors that the 74-year-old Genesis drummer is in hospice care, instead revealing that Collins underwent knee surgery.
The representative told TMZ that Collins was hospitalized for the surgical procedure, putting to rest speculation about his health.
Collins, known for hits like “You’ll Be In My Heart,” has been out of the public eye since his retirement from touring with Genesis in March 2022.
The singer has been dealing with various health issues, including a spinal injury from 2007 that has left him with drop-foot, a condition that causes numbness in one of his feet.
Collins has used a cane to walk since 2015.
In a recent interview with MOJO magazine, Collins shared a somber update on his health, saying, “The thing is, I’ve been sick.
I mean very sick…
I keep thinking I should go downstairs to the studio and see what happens.
But I’m not hungry for it anymore.”
