COLERAINE, VICTORIA – An investigation is underway in Victoria’s southwest after a woman was found stabbed to death in her home, leading to the arrest of a man known to her.
Authorities responded to a call at a Pilleau Street residence around 1:10 a.m. Saturday, where they discovered the injured woman.
Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her wounds at the scene.
The arrested individual, a Coleraine local, will be questioned by detectives in connection with the woman’s death.
Homicide detectives have been deployed to the scene to assist with the probe.
The small town of Coleraine, with a population of approximately 850, is located about four hours west of Melbourne and is known for its strong wool industry.
