Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz, held a private vow renewal ceremony on August 2, an event that has fueled reports of a deepening rift with the Beckham family.
None of Mr. Beckham’s relatives, including his parents David and Victoria Beckham, were present at the intimate ceremony held at the Peltz family estate in New York.
The ceremony was a small, family-centric event for the Peltzes. Ms. Peltz wore her mother’s vintage 1985 bridal gown, and her father, billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, officiated.
The couple, who first married in a lavish €3.5 million event in 2022, shared photos of the more personal gathering on social media, describing it as a “beautiful experience.”
Reports Allege Deepening Estrangement
According to reports in multiple media outlets, the Beckham family was not informed of the vow renewal and only learned of it after the fact.
A source cited by UK newspaper The Sun claimed the family feels estranged from their eldest son, stating the exclusion felt “cruel and spiteful” and that they see “no way back.”
Reports of tension have circulated since the couple’s 2022 wedding. More recently, public social media activity has highlighted the distance.
Mr. Beckham and Ms. Peltz no longer follow his younger brothers on Instagram, and Mr. Beckham did not post public birthday messages for his parents this year, though he did share one for his father-in-law.
At the time of the vow renewal, David and Victoria Beckham were photographed on their yacht in Italy.
