Australian television presenter Sonia Kruger, ahead of her 60th birthday, has spoken about her long-running career and outlined plans to transition into behind-the-scenes roles, including production and mentoring.
The Gold Logie winner says she intends to continue working but hopes to shift her focus after more than three decades in front of the camera.
With a career spanning more than 30 years, Ms. Kruger has become one of Australia’s most prominent television personalities, currently holding several concurrent hosting roles.
She has attributed her strong work ethic and drive to her upbringing, stating that a desire for financial security and independence has been a consistent motivator throughout her professional life.
Future Focus on Production and Mentoring
Looking ahead, Ms. Kruger expressed a desire to move into a more production-focused capacity and to mentor emerging presenters, believing her experience is a valuable asset to the industry.
She also commented on aging, stating she is focused on maintaining her health through weight training and nutrition, and is encouraged by the increased visibility of experienced women in the media.
On a personal note, Ms. Kruger also spoke about her daughter, Maggie, and her partner, Craig McPherson.
She stated a key goal for her future is to be available for her daughter as she begins high school and to instill in her the importance of financial independence.
