Man Found Dead at Charlestown Shopping Centre Carpark, Suspect Arrested
A 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man found in a shopping centre carpark on the NSW Central Coast.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:50am on Wednesday at a centre along the Pacific Highway in Charlestown, a suburb of Lake Macquarie.
Emergency services responded to reports of an assault, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Underway
The identity of the deceased man has not been released.
Police were initially alerted to a man seen running south along the Pacific Highway shortly after the alleged assault.
A crime scene has been established at the Charlestown shopping centre, and investigators are reviewing dashcam and mobile phone footage from the area.
