Trail Bike Rider Fatally Struck by SUV at Sydney Intersection
A 20-year-old man has died after his trail bike collided with an SUV in the southwestern Sydney suburb of Minto on Sunday night.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 8:50 pm, but the rider could not be revived and was pronounced dead.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Pembroke Road and Durham Street.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 20-year-old rider, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 25-year-old man, was uninjured and has been transported to hospital for mandatory testing.
Investigation Underway
The deceased has not yet been formally identified. Police have established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
Pembroke Road was closed in both directions for several hours following the incident as investigators examined the scene.
