Fitness influencer Tammy Hembrow has responded to speculation about her relationship with AFL superstar Bailey Smith, describing him as a “sweetie” and a “good guy”.
Hembrow, who recently divorced her husband, made the comments while attending the Sasha Therese fashion event in Melbourne on Wednesday night.
When quizzed about the nature of her relationship with Smith, she remained coy, saying she was in Melbourne for a mix of work and leisure.
Background on the Rumours
The rumours about Hembrow and Smith’s relationship surfaced after they were spotted together on the Gold Coast.
Witnesses claimed they saw the pair holding hands and kissing for hours, and they were again seen together after Geelong’s win over Essendon in Round 22.
Smith, who is second favourite to win the AFL’s best-and-fairest award, has also been questioned about the relationship.
When asked directly if he and Hembrow were together, he responded with a curt “What do you want me to say?”
before cursing at the reporter.
Hembrow’s Previous Marriage and Recent Activities
Hembrow was previously married to former reality star and podcaster Matt Zukowski, but the marriage broke down after just seven months.
She has since been spotted with Smith on several occasions, including at an upscale restaurant in Melbourne.
Recently, Hembrow posted a TikTok video in which she mouthed the phrase “Don’t be f****** boring.
This whole town is so f****** boring.
I don’t care.”
The AFL’s Best-and-Fairest Award
Smith is currently second favourite to win the AFL’s best-and-fairest award, behind Collingwood’s Nick Daicos and ahead of Adelaide’s Jordan Dawson.
The award will be presented at the Brownlow Medal ceremony, and it remains to be seen if Hembrow will attend the event with Smith.
