Brisbane Broncos Condemn Reece Walsh’s Bizarre Toilet Water Prank
In a bizarre incident, Brisbane Broncos player Reece Walsh has been filmed drinking water from a toilet, sparking widespread shock and condemnation.
The 23-year-old rugby league player posted the video on his Snapchat account, claiming it was a “new form of recovery” to aid in muscle recovery.
The video, which has since surfaced online, shows Walsh cupping his hand and drinking from the toilet bowl.
The Broncos have released a statement distancing themselves from the stunt, describing it as “a poor attempt at humour” and reassuring fans that no business had been conducted in the toilet, which remained “unused”.
Club Responds to Controversy
The Broncos’ statement clarified that Walsh is currently renovating his home and had installed a brand-new toilet in a new bathroom, which remains unused.
The club urged fans not to take the video seriously, stating that “no one should take this video seriously or act upon the advice.”
Experts Weigh In
Reacting to the video on 2GB’s Wide World of Sports, presenter Adam Hawse expressed disbelief, saying he was “lost for words”.
League legend Brad Fittler, co-hosting the show with Hawse, described the prank as “taking the piss” and urged the Broncos to restrict Walsh’s social media activity.
This is not the first time Walsh has been involved in a controversial prank.
In May, he was filmed punching a friend in the head while wearing a boxing glove, sparking criticism from concussion expert Dr Alan Pearce.
Uncertainty Over Walsh’s Participation in Upcoming Game
With the Broncos set to face Melbourne on Thursday night, speculation is rife over whether Walsh will be ruled out of the game due to a stomach bug.
If so, it may be linked to his toilet water prank.
The incident has sparked intense debate, with many questioning the judgement and maturity of the young rugby league star.
