TRUMP administration in CHAOS: President labelled ‘slash and burn’ amid growing Epstein scandal
- Donald Trump sparks outrage by calling the Epstein scandal a “Democrat hoax”
- Survivors of the deceased sex offender demand the release of all files related to the case
- Tensions rise as a bipartisan resolution to release all documents inches closer to reality
Donald Trump has been accused of adopting a “slash and burn” approach to the growing Epstein scandal, as the President labelled the ongoing investigation a “Democrat hoax”. The comments sparked outrage among survivors of the deceased sex offender, who are demanding the release of all files related to the case.
In a sensational development, several survivors of Epstein’s abuse signalled their support for a bipartisan resolution to release all the files related to the convicted sex offender. Speaking outside the US Capitol, Anouska De Georgiou, a survivor of both Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, said that while “every day of this journey toward healing has come at a profound cost to my mental health,” she chose to be there because this legislation “really matters”.
De Georgiou issued a plea to Donald Trump to use his power and influence to help release the full tranche of records on Epstein. “I’m begging you, please, for the sake of the victims, release all the files,” she said, her voice shaking with emotion. “The only motive to oppose the bill would only be to conceal wrongdoing.”
The President’s comments came as the Epstein scandal continued to dominate headlines, with the release of more documents as part of the investigation. However, the majority of the documents contained information that was already public, leading to criticism that the Trump administration was not doing enough to provide transparency.
In a separate development, a so-called “missing minute” of CCTV footage, a key ingredient of conspiracy theories surrounding the prison death of Epstein, has been found, contradicting the assertion of Pam Bondi, the attorney general, that it was recorded over.
The Epstein scandal has led to widespread outrage and calls for greater transparency, with many accusing the Trump administration of not doing enough to provide answers. As the situation continues to unfold, one thing is clear: the Epstein scandal is far from over, and the consequences for those involved could be severe.
