- More than 450 police officers involved in the search, with a $1 million reward offered for information leading to his arrest
- Fears grow that Freeman, a skilled outdoorsman, may have received assistance from someone in the area
**Dezi Freeman**, the suspected cop killer who has been on the run since two police officers were killed in a shooting ambush at his home in Porepunkah, Victoria, has been likened to ‘Rambo’ by his own son. **Koah Freeman**, 20, warned that his father was capable of surviving on his own in the bush, drawing parallels with the legendary movie character.
“No doubt, no doubt at all,” **Koah Freeman** told the Herald Sun. “I’m not sure if you have ever seen the movie Rambo, especially the first Rambo movie, it’s like that but 10 times’ capacity.” Police have also characterised **Dezi Freeman** as a skilled outdoorsman, making him a formidable fugitive.
The search for **Dezi Freeman** has intensified, with more than 450 police officers involved in the massive operation. A $1 million reward has been offered for information leading to his arrest, as concerns grow that he may have received assistance from someone in the area. **Mount Buffalo National Park**, where Freeman is suspected to have fled with multiple firearms, is familiar territory to his father, according to his son.
“He’s been there since he was 16, just going hiking in places no man has ever stepped foot in,” **Koah Freeman** said. Despite his fears that his father may have met a fatal end, **Koah Freeman** called on him to turn himself in to police. “I just want him to come home, or to come forward and face the consequences,” he said.
**Koah Freeman** also extended his condolences to the families of the slain officers, **Vadim De Waart-Hottart** and **Neal Thompson**. “Our hearts go out to them,” he said. “We’re all in this together.”
The manhunt for **Dezi Freeman** continues, with police urging anyone with information to come forward. The community remains on high alert, as the search for the suspected cop killer stretches into its third day.
