In a shocking and terrifying incident, a young couple’s lives have been left hanging in the balance after their quiet suburban home in Park Ridge, Logan, was sprayed with approximately eight bullets in a drive-by shooting overnight.
The attack occurred just before 1:30 am on Friday, when emergency crews were called to a home on Baileys Lane to find an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman injured. The man was treated by paramedics at the scene for a wound to his neck and rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.
The woman was treated for a leg injury and taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a non-life-threatening condition. Neighbors described the incident as “wild” and “unnerving,” with one resident saying, “People call Logan a bit of a rough area, but we’re pretty quiet here, so it’s a bit unnerving to wake up to.”
