Bloodied and Bruised: Controversial Social Media Star Andrew Tate Suffers Demoralising Defeat in Professional Boxing Debut
- Andrew Tate, notorious for his misogynistic views, was left battered and bleeding after his professional boxing debut against reality TV star Chase DeMoor
- The 39-year-old’s face was left with extensive bruising and a nasty cut after being outmanoeuvred by his younger opponent
- Tate, who was charged with rape earlier this year, claimed he “wanted a real challenge” and wasn’t disappointed to lose against the heavier and younger DeMoor
In a shocking turn of events, Andrew Tate’s boasts of putting his opponent to sleep were left in tatters as he suffered a demoralising defeat in his maiden professional boxing bout. The controversial social media influencer was left battered and bruised, his face a mess of extensive bruising and a nasty cut, after being outmanoeuvred by reality TV star Chase DeMoor.
The 39-year-old, who made headlines earlier this year when he was charged with several counts of rape alongside his brother Tristan before the allegations were dropped, was no match for DeMoor’s reach advantage. Despite his claims of being a skilled fighter, Tate’s performance was marred by a lack of boxing prowess, with many questioning how he was allowed to fight in the first place.
DeMoor, 10 years Tate’s junior, dominated the bout, keeping the social media star at bay with his superior reach. The judges scored the fight 58-56 on two cards, while the third judge ruled it a draw, a result that left many questioning the legitimacy of the decision.
In a surprise post-fight interview, Tate claimed he wasn’t disappointed to lose against a younger, heavier opponent, saying “it was always gonna be a tough ask against someone much bigger than me, younger than me, more active than me — I felt I won the first two rounds but because he’s 20 kilo heavier he started leaning on me.”
The fight was announced in late October, following news that KSI had been ousted from his role as CEO of Misfits Boxing, with Tate declaring himself the new Chief Executive of the company. But it seems Tate’s boasts of being a top fighter were nothing more than hot air, as he was left reeling from a demoralising defeat.
