According to court documents obtained by KOAT, Busfield allegedly told the boys to call him ‘Uncle Tim’ and tickled them on their stomach and legs during filming in 2024. The investigation was launched in November 2024 after a doctor at the University of New Mexico Hospital called police, reportedly concerned about the behaviour of the actor towards the two young boys.
Hospital staff told responding officers that it appeared the children had been ‘groomed’ by Busfield, who worked on the program from 2022 to 2025 as a director. The actor’s alleged actions have left many in the industry stunned, given his reputation as a respected and beloved figure in Hollywood.
