A prominent pizza chain known as Bondi Pizza has been placed up for sale after it was placed in administration.
The company has three restaurants in NSW, including one in Parramatta, one in Macquarie Park, and one in Westfield Eastgardens.
Another establishment in the Randwick suburb is not affected by the situation.
Some of the businesses that have gone into administration are the holding company Casual Dining Concepts, the leasing company Casual Dining Concepts, the trading company Trading Concepts, and the Bondi Pizza Bar & Grill. The sole director of these businesses is Gary Linz.
Jonathan Keenan, the administrator of the companies, told News.com.Au that he was considering various options to save the businesses. One of these involves restructuring the company. He also noted that a sale process had already started.
According to Mr. Keenan, the various businesses had been affected by the adverse trading conditions caused by the Covid pandemic. He would not provide the exact amount of debt the companies had accumulated. However, he noted that there had been a substantial amount of debt to the Australian Tax Office.
According to Mr. Keenan, the staff members and trade creditors of the companies were still owed money. A meeting of the creditors will be held on March 11.
