The drowning of Leslee and Jun Ballo, who were both in their 50s, has left their 13-year-old daughter orphaned.
They were discovered at a boat ramp in Birchmont, which is about 30 kilometers from Mandurah. The couple had renewed their vows just two weeks ago.
They usually went fishing together every Wednesday.
They didn’t return home after going fishing the previous night. According to their friend Marisol, Jun and Leslee loved to go out and catch fish.
She said she noticed something was not right when they didn’t return home. Herron Point’s boat ramp was where their car was discovered.
The tragic incident has left the family in a state of shock and grief. Armada said she will do whatever it takes to look after their daughter, who is currently staying with her parents in Perth.
The couple was known as a golden couple
