According to reports, Mick Fanning is devastated by the loss of his brother Edward.
He is the third sibling who has died, following the deaths of his older brothers, Peter, in 2015, and Sean, in 1998.
Sean was killed when a car crashed at Coolangatta, while Peter succumbed to his illness in his sleep.
It’s believed that Edward died while he was in Madagascar working at a surf camp.
Although Edward’s friend posted his condolences on Facebook, Mick and his family haven’t made any public statements regarding the incident.
Stevie Maher, a bodyboarder from Coolangatta, offered his condolences to the family.

In 2015, Mick was left devastated after his brother Peter died due to a health issue.
He described him as a hero in a post on social media.
