In a candid confession, Candice Warner, the wife of former Australian player David Warner, criticized the cricketing community of her husband and the team’s behavior.
The former Iron Woman made the revelation during an appearance on the Channel 10 show “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.”
During the interview, Candice opened up and discussed the various challenges she has faced as a married person and the various misconceptions that have kept her from being a successful professional player.
She stated that he would have been better served if he had chosen to play in a different era.
When asked by Ellie Cole, a Paralympic athlete, about what she meant by her statement, Warner noted that people are selfish and that Warner’s teammates aren’t protecting the other players.
She was then confronted by Skye Wheatley, an influencer, about the possible rifts within the cricketing fraternity.
In addition to her husband’s teammates, Warner also criticized the CA administration. She claimed that throughout his professional career, the organization did not want him to be part of the team. According to her, due to his unique personality, he didn’t fit the mold of a typical cricket player. Peter Daicos, an Australian football legend, argued that Warner’s personality is what made him an exceptional athlete.
During the interview, she also discussed the various incidents that she has experienced in the past, and she claimed that there were many people who were affected by the negativity surrounding the team. She refused to name the individuals who were responsible for the issues, but she noted that they all knew who she was referring to. These are not the first times that she has criticized the organization.
In the past, she claimed that the organization did not support her and David following the ball-tampering incident in Cape Town. She also stated that Cricket Australia warned her about mouthing off after South African fans taunted Warner with their masks of rugby player, Bill Williams, who she infamously had sex with while she was in the toilet.
Warner won’t be quick to forget about the past. During an interview on the Backstage with Matty Johns and Cooper on March 18, she revealed that she has a blacklist of individuals who have hurt her and David, and she can’t bite her tongue when she sees somebody uttering hateful remarks.
