Actress Rebel Wilson has revealed that she used the weight loss drug Ozempic to maintain her weight loss.
She admitted that she experimented with the medication after she lost about 80 pounds.
According to her, she used the drug because she had a sweet tooth.
In 2020, the 44-year-old actress started a year-long health program after consulting a fertility doctor, who told her that losing weight could help her become pregnant.
According to her, nobody else wanted her to lose weight, and people thought that she would lose her career’s “fat funny” image.
She started by walking long distances and consuming a high-protein diet.
For her program, Wilson did two-and-half hour workouts. She also took part in various activities such as running up the Sydney Opera House’s steps and performing “crazy” cardio routines.
She said that it felt good to keep going. Talking to a doctor regularly helped her manage her eating issues.
After reaching her weight loss goal, Wilson said she feels like she’s at a comfortable weight.
She also noted that she has experienced positive reinforcement due to how she has been treated.
In June 2023, she opened up about her journey and admitted that she gained weight following the birth of her daughter, Royce, in November 2022.
