A woman and her dog died following a car and bus crash in Perth’s northern suburbs.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on Warwick Rd, about 20 minutes west of Lloyd Drive, at around 8am on Monday.
A hatchback vehicle, which witnesses said was a white Hyundai i30, then caught on fire.
The woman, who was 50 years old, was treated by paramedics at the scene for her injuries.
She was then taken to the Sir Charles Gairdner hospital, where she later died.
Three dogs were also in the car with her, and one of them died following the accident.
The other two were later discovered by council rangers.
The bus’s 48-year-old female driver and the passengers were not injured.
It’s believed that the bus was carrying kids to school.
The Major Crash Investigation Team is looking into the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
