A woman believed to be 19 years old was found dead in an eastern suburbs unit on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Hardy St, North Bondi, after receiving reports that a woman was unresponsive.
The incident was immediately attended to by the police, and a crime scene was established.
A post-mortem examination was then conducted to establish the cause of death.
A man, 32, was apprehended at the scene and taken to the Waverley Police Station.
He is assisting with the investigation.
