In a statement, NSW Premier Chris Minns announced that his father, John, passed away at the age of 72.

He had been in a coma since suffering a massive heart attack earlier this month.

The Premier said that his father was surrounded by his family and friends when he died.

He thanked the paramedics and doctors at St. George Hospital for their efforts in helping him during his illness.

Jim Minns, the Premier’s brother, also posted a message about his father’s death.

He referred to the Premier’s X post and said that the latter was the best dad.

In his campaign launch speech, Mr Minns referred to his father as a role model for him.

He said that he had a great life and was able to build a loving home for his family.

In 2022, Mr Minns posted a message on X, which was previously known as Twitter, stating that teaching was more than a job.
