Two people died following a head-on collision between a car and a truck near Adelaide, South Australia.
Emergency services were called to the incident at around 2 pm on Friday.
According to responders, a Toyota ute and a truck collided on Owen Road at Magdala, and the latter hit a pole and caused power lines to come down.
A spokesperson for the SA Police said that two people from the local area died when a ute and a truck collided on Owen Rd at around 6:30 pm on Friday.
The truck’s driver, who was from Smithfield, was not injured.
The road was closed until early Saturday morning as investigators tried to determine the cause of the incident.
The deaths of the two individuals, which were a man and woman, bring the number of fatalities this year on South Australia’s roads to 36.
