Rumours about KFC’s Double being back in Australia have been circulating on social media recently.
The item, which was first introduced in the country in 2011, features two Original Crispy fillets instead of regular bread.
It quickly became a cult favorite among KFC fans.
Since then, various variants of the double have been introduced, such as the Zinger Mozzarella Double and the Zinger Tower Double.
Three Double burgers will be available starting from June 11.
Another controversial variation is the Waffle Double, which is being served in KFC stores across the country for the very first time.
The Double features a combination of KFC’s signature buttermilk biscuit, bacon, and maple mayonnaise, as well as two Original Crispy chicken fillets.
It can be ordered as a standalone item or as part of a KFC box or combo.
According to KFC’s marketing officer, Tami Cunningham, the company is excited to reintroduce the Double with a new twist.
She noted that the company’s fans will be eager to try the new versions of the double.
The Double range is now available in KFC stores and through the company’s app.
It was introduced last month during a pop-up restaurant that was held to celebrate the new permanent menu item.
The company introduced three new burgers: the Original Crispy, the Original Cheese and Bacon, and the Original Crispy Stacker.
The burgers were created by the company’s chefs using the company’s Original Crispy recipe, which features a creamy mayonnaise coating over a juicy and tender chicken fillet.
