For those who were hoping that Taylor Swift’s concert tour would get an extension past its scheduled end date in December of this year, they are wrong.
According to the artist, her worldwide trek will end in December and will not be extended beyond that.
During her performance at the first night of her Liverpool show, Swift noted that it was the 100th show of her worldwide tour.
She expressed her excitement at reaching this milestone and said it has been an amazing experience.
She added that she doesn’t feel like it’s a real achievement because the experience has been both exhausting and joyful.
She noted that even though her tour ends in six months, the feeling of its finality is sinking in.
Swift said that reaching the 100-show mark was the first time she acknowledged her own achievements and said that her world tour would end in December.
She also noted that it felt like her first concert.
She added that she and her team wanted to perform 150 to 200 shows during the course of her current tour.
She said that her life has become completely different since she started her music career.
When she’s not on stage, Swift said she enjoys sitting at home and developing new acoustic songs that she might want to perform.
She also said that she would love to be back on stage with her fans.
Before the concert started, Swift’s fans had been planning their outfits and getting ready for the event. They also got the necessary transportation and parking.
Taylor Swift also thanked her fans for their efforts during her current tour, which has already reached a total of over a hundred shows.
She noted that her attention has been consumed by the experience so far. In April, she released an album consisting of 31 songs.
It has already been on top of the Billboard 200 for eight weeks, and it’s expected to continue doing well when the charts are released next week.
In addition, she has also released two special re-recordings of her songs, “Speak Now” and “1989.”
These albums came out as part of her “Eras Tour,” which was a $261 million film.
Although her camp has not released any numbers regarding the tour’s box office, it’s widely believed that the total gross of her current tour will reach $2 billion before it ends in December.
The closest competitor to Swift’s tour will be Elton John’s “Farewell Yellow Brick Road,” which made around $939 million over five years.
Taylor Swift’s European tour will conclude on August 20 with a performance at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Following that, she will take some time off before returning to the US and performing in stadiums in November.
She will perform in just three cities in the US: Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis.
The rest of her tour will conclude in December with shows in Vancouver and Toronto.
