On Friday, Casey Donovan announced she got engaged to her long-time partner, Renée Sharples, in an Instagram post. The couple were seen in photos at Tasmania’s Pumphouse Point, where they were both wearing thick puffer jackets.

The couple got engaged on June 21, the winter solstice.

In her post, Donovan wrote that the love of her life asked her if she wanted to spend her life with him.

She then said yes.

She added that the day she met her fiancé, home became no longer a place she wanted to be.

Instead, it became a place she would rather take her wagon to.

In her post, Donovan revealed that the ring she got was made by Mondial by Nadia in Sydney.

She will be appearing in the musical version of “Sister Act,” which will be performed in Sydney next month.

She and Sharples first met in 2020 through the dating app Bumble.

They also enjoyed various dates through Zoom.

The messages of congratulations from her fans and friends poured in.

Ricki-Lee, the singer of “Beautiful,” and the account of “Juliet the Musical” also wished the couple well.

In early 2021, Donovan announced that she was in a relationship.
