Tuyet Nguyen, 52, was a Vietnamese tourist who died after she was hit by a train at the Punchbowl Station in Sydney.

She was on holiday with her sister. The incident occurred when she tried to retrieve her shoe, which had fallen onto the tracks.

After falling onto the tracks, Ms. Nguyen was unable to get back to the platform.

According to her nephew, Toan Huynh, she tried to retrieve her shoe but was crushed by the train at around 3.30 pm.

Eyewitnesses said they saw emergency services and station staff working to free Ms. Nguyen, but she soon died after being taken to a hospital due to her injuries.

Sydney Trains also sent its condolences to her family.

The incident was described as a tragic and traumatic event by Sydney Trains.

The company also thanked the emergency services personnel and the passengers for their efforts.

It’s believed that Ms Nguyen suffered multiple injuries during the incident, and the train’s driver failed a breath test.

The Boulevard was temporarily redirected by police to Arthur Street as emergency services tried to save the woman.

The incident caused chaos among the commuters as Sydney Trains experienced delays.

Crime Stoppers urged the public to come forward with information about the incident.
