This week, an earthquake occurred in the Northern Territory’s Tennant Creek.

According to residents, they felt the ground moving around 3.50 pm. Geoscience Australia noted that the earthquake had a depth of around six kilometers.

This follows a seismic event that occurred last week.

Around 10 kilometers away from the epicenter of the earthquake, which was felt by residents, were located the town of Tennant Creek, which has a population of about 3,000.

Although small earthquakes, such as those that are less than 3.5 on the Richter scale, are rarely felt, powerful earthquakes, such as those that are over 5.4, are usually felt but rarely cause any damage.
