Her fans, who were sad to see her leave the organization, wished her well.

One of her fans said that she was sad to see O’Connor leave the organization, as she was known for her impeccable work.

She praised her for her ability to bring a smile to her colleagues and for her sense of humor. Another person said that she was a great interviewer.

One of her fans praised her for her first-class work. Some people took advantage of her career exit to criticize ABC for its allegedly biased reporting.

Many of her fans expressed their sadness at the loss of O’Connor and wished her well in her future endeavors.

She started working for the ABC in 1987 and became a presenter in 2014. Before announcing her departure, she had a series of on-air slip-ups.

In 2021, a video of O’Connor calling Daniel Andrews, the Victorian Premier, by his first name went viral. It was mistakenly posted on social media.

During a press conference, O’Connor said that she would be holding a discussion with Murphy about a certain topic.

She then took to social media to make light of the mistake.

She posted a message saying that she would never live this down and that she would apologize to Andrews.

The incident had already seen Murphy’s name trending on the social media platform in Australia.

In 2017, O’Connor said an expletive after a staff member in the control room of the broadcaster accidentally cut to a live shot of herself.

When she realized that she was being filmed, O’Connor exclaimed, “OH F**k!” and grabbed her pearls in panic.
