The police are looking for a woman who reportedly picked up a four-year old girl in a shopping center in Sydney on Sunday evening.

She reportedly took her away from her mother.

The incident occurred at around 6.25 pm in Westfield Eastgardens.

According to the NSW Police, the child’s mother was able to catch up to the woman and call the authorities.

After walking away from the girl and her mother, the woman was last seen leaving the area.

The police are now looking for a woman who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The woman is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance, and she was wearing a black jacket and a red headband.

The police also noted that she was carrying a multi-colored shoulder bag.
