A man from Perth, Australia, who was severely injured in a scooter crash in Bali, has died. His family was informed that he will never wake up.

Shane was on his way to be a groomsman at a wedding when the accident happened.

He suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain. He underwent surgery and was in a coma for several days.

Family and friends of 30-year-old Mr. David Ramsey, who was flown back to Australia on Thursday, had contributed over $125,000 to bring him home.

However, doctors have told his family that he will not regain his brain function.

His mother Catherine said she was initially not happy with the decision to end his life support, but she eventually accepted it after learning that he was an organ donor.

Amyleigh Mitchell, a family friend, started a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for the return of Shane.

She described him as a beautiful and genuine individual who was loved by all of his friends.

He was on his way to be a groomsman at a wedding in Bali when he was severely injured in a crash.

The Royal Perth Hospital helped his family and friends get to see him.

According to his friends, he was excited about his new start and had just finished his apprenticeship.

However, due to his lack of travel insurance, the family was forced to spend over $50,000 on medical bills in Bali.

According to Ms Mitchell, the cost of bringing Shane back to Australia will be around $150 000.

Since the campaign started, donations have only covered a portion of the expenses.

Last week, his mother, Ms. Ramsey, said it was a waiting game to see how severe his injuries were.
