Natalie Stichova, a professional gymnast, fell about 80m while taking a picture at the Neuschwanstein castle in Germany, which is reportedly the inspiration for Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty.”

The Czech athlete died on August 15. Her friend said that she was preparing to take a picture when she fell.

It’s not clear if she lost her footing or if she accidentally hit a loose rock.

The tragic incident happened while the athlete was with her boyfriend and two other friends who were visiting the castle.

They had been hiking up the mountain when the accident occurred.

Unfortunately, the young athlete suffered a severe brain injury and was declared brain dead on Wednesday.

According to her friend, she fell from a height of around 80m. Although her friends will never know what happened to her during the fall, they believe that she slipped and hit a loose rock.

The gymnastics club where Stichova trained paid tribute to her by remembering her as a talented athlete and a sweet person.

In a statement, the club said that she had left them due to an accident.

The club stated that Stichova died at around 5.30 am on August 21.

She was a sweet and talented individual who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

It also extends its condolences to her friends and family. The facility noted that people can light candles in honor of her memory.
