Today Extra’s David Campbell broke down as he accepted an award for the second time in four years, honoring his dad Jimmy Barnes for their efforts as Australian fathers of the year.

The presenter, who was presented with the award during a ceremony held at the Sydney Opera House, talked about how it felt to be a dad to his kids, Billy, Leo, and Betty.

Campbell, who was visibly emotional during his speech, said that he and his family were able to win the lottery.

He then thanked his kids for helping him raise them as individuals and for their incredible zest for life.

He also thanked his mom for accompanying him and helping him navigate through the various life challenges that they would face.

While his dad was unable to attend the ceremony due to his recent surgery, Campbell was still full of praise for him.

He said that his dad took fatherhood very seriously and had a hard time growing up.

Campbell noted that his dad had a hard time growing up due to the various issues he had been going through.

He eventually overcame these issues and became a father to his daughter Jane.

He said that his dad’s positive influence has helped his family and him improve their lives.
