Jai Evans, a prominent Australian media personality and talent expert, was reportedly found dead in his Sydney apartment. The cause of his death is not known.
According to the Daily Mail Australia, the 43-year-old was found dead at his home on Sunday.
Dan Wootton, a fitness entrepreneur from Bondi, confirmed the news in a statement.
On his Facebook page, Mr. Wootton posted a picture of him and Evans, who he described as a beautiful friend. He also wrote that he was taken too soon.
Evans had over two decades of experience in the media and communications industry.
He is survived by his wife and their two children.
At the age of 24, he established his own PR firm, Evans Media, in 2005.
He had worked for various media organizations in Sydney, and according to his LinkedIn page, he was an advertising manager, a magazine publisher, and an editor.
He was close friends with a number of Australian socialites, such as Lara Worthington and Anastasia Fai Kogan.
In 1997, Evans appeared in an episode of Home and Away. It was an iconic Australian soap opera.
