The police are looking into the possibility that the man who threw hot coffee on a baby in Australia may have already left the country.

The incident happened in August in Hanlon Park in Brisbane, where nine-month-old Luka was with his mother.

The child suffered severe burns and underwent multiple operations.

It has been reported that the nine-month-old boy will require long-term treatment and will likely have permanent scars due to the burns he suffered when he was allegedly attacked.

Since the police were not able to find the suspect after he fled the area on foot, the force expanded its search over the weekend.

The police force noted that it was still investigating the matter and was working with other agencies to try and catch the suspect.

They released a picture of a man they believe could help them.

The man, who is about 30 to 40 years old, is described as proportionate and has tanned skin. He was seen at the time of the incident wearing a black hat, a shirt, and shorts.

The police noted that the attack was an ambush.

The boy’s mother said that she was overwhelmed by the support she received from the public. Through a GoFundMe campaign, the family was able to cover the child’s medical expenses.

The mother noted that the support she received will allow them to help Luka with various needs.

The incident has left the family with a long road ahead.

The boy’s mother said he was resilient and was already causing chaos after the third operation.
