Expatriates from the UK are being advised to avoid moving to Australia after a man named Owen Willis posted a list of his grievances with the nation on social media.

In addition to calling it racist, he also claimed that his experience living there had been “de-influencing” his fellow countrymen.

In a video, he claimed that Australia could not solve all of the country’s problems. He stated that he thought it was an “idealistic paradise” before moving there in 2022.

However, after returning to the UK, he claimed that the country failed to live up to his expectations.

He listed various issues such as the cost of living, the weather, and the wildlife as some of his major concerns. He claimed that he could see the nation as a racist country due to how he lived in multiple areas.

While he noted that it was less prevalent in major cities such as Melbourne and Sydney, he claimed that he was shocked by the racist comments he had received in Queensland.

According to Willis, one of Australia’s major issues is its diverse wildlife. Although most foreigners are scared of spiders and snakes, he claimed that bats and jellyfish are among the scariest animals.

He stated that his life in Australia had been ruined by the lack of opportunities to walk down the street due to the presence of bats.

He said that he would often scare himself away by thinking that they would hang from the trees. He noted that the short days in the country were also a major issue for him.

Some people supported Owen Willis’s viewpoint on Australia, but others were more critical. One viewer stated that they wished him well in his future endeavors back home.

Another claimed that they no longer wanted to visit the country. He was not the first Brit to share his opinion on the nation.

A British individual who was kicked out of a pub in a major Australian city claimed that he was done with establishments within the country.

He stated that the drinking rules in the area were too strict, and bouncers enjoy having the power to enforce them.

Another expat claimed that moving to the country was a scam, as her six-month stay had been nothing but negative.
