Marty Morton, an Australian entertainer best known for his work in the 1970s children’s program “The Super Flying Fun Show,” died due to cancer at the age of 82.
He is survived by his two sons, Terry and Anthony.
In a statement, his son wrote that he was sad to inform his fans that his father passed away on Friday. He was 82 years old and was born on September 30, 1941, in England.
He moved to Australia a couple of years later.
During his time in Australia, he entertained audiences with his various performances, including those with a puppet known as Emu, which he shared with Marilyn Mayo.
He was able to light up the screens with his appearances on the children’s program Hey Hey It’s Saturday, where he played various roles and acted with sets and props.
He also appeared in other popular shows such as The Young Doctors and The Spyforce.
In 2012, he landed a role in Puberty Blues, which was co-starring Susie Porter and Claudia Karvan.
He was also able to receive multiple awards for his work in the entertainment industry.
Despite his recent illness, he continued to entertain his fans.
