A two-year-old girl was killed after she was hit by a car while she was walking outside her home.
According to police, the child had apparently left her bed after her parents had finished working.
The child was discovered in the road at around 8.20 pm on Friday by officers responding to a call about a pedestrian versus car accident.
She was then taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
Officials believe the child was hit by a Volkswagen Jetta, which was driven by a 38-year old man.
The authorities did not indicate whether the driver had been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The Police did not release the name of the individual involved.
