Sam Neill, who was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2022, said that if the treatment advancements that have been made for the disease had happened to him 20 years earlier, he would not be alive today.

The actor took a break from his career to recover.

The actor, who is best known for playing Dr. Alan Grant, in the popular “Jurassic Park” franchise, said that he’s feeling great and is enjoying life to the fullest.

Neill noted that he’s in remission and is currently working hard at his job. He also thanked the various individuals who helped him during his illness.

He noted that if his condition had happened decades earlier, he wouldn’t be alive today. Talking about his current treatment regime, the actor stated that he undergoes treatment once a month.

The actor noted that before his illness, he usually underwent treatment three times a month. Despite the challenges that come with his treatment, he’s still positive about his outlook.

He said that after a couple of days, everything is fine and he enjoys going to the gym.

In March 2022, Neill revealed that he first noticed the signs of his illness during the promotion of “Jurassic World Dominion.”

Neill has been nominated for various awards and recognitions, such as the Golden Globe and the Emmy award for his performances in “Reilly,” “Ace Of Spies,” and “Merlin.”

He worked alongside some of the most talented individuals in the industry, including the late James Earl Jones, who played the role of Darth Vader in the Star Wars movies.
