Mike Wolfe, the creator of the History Channel show “American Pickers,” confirmed that Frank Fritz, the show’s co-presenter, died on Monday.
He said in a statement that he was a dreamer whose sensitive nature and sense of humor would be missed by many.
It’s not clear what caused the death of Fritz, who had reportedly been suffering from a stroke.
Two years ago, Wolfe posted a message on his Instagram page about his friend’s hospitalization.
The two men appeared together on the show “American Pickers,” which premiered in 2010. The program chronicled their search for valuable antiques.
In a statement, the network said that it was “stunned” to learn that Fritz died on September 30, 2024. He was a part of the show’s family.
Over the course of ten years, Frank was a part of the American Pickers family.
The show’s producers released a statement about his death, saying that they will remember him as a “bearded charmer” who was always looking for vintage motorcycles.
The network and its production company Cineflix Production also sent their condolences to his family.
