The coach of the Sydney Roosters, Trent Robinson, and his wife, Sandra, were airlifted to a hospital after suffering from severe burns when a gas bottle exploded while they were cooking on Monday night.
According to reports, the incident happened at the home of John Quayle, a former Easts player.
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene and attended to the couple, who were doused in cold water.
They were then airlifted to a hospital in the Hunter Valley.
While Sandra was released, Robinson was kept at the facility for a couple of nights to monitor his condition.
After being discharged, the couple is currently recuperating at their home in Sydney.
