A man from Melbourne named Andrew Truman died after he was hit in the head during an incident outside a McDonald’s restaurant in the CBD.
He was a passionate supporter of the Western Bulldogs football team.
Truman was walking on Elizabeth St., near Flinders St, when he was assaulted by a man at around 6:30 p.m. He was then taken to a hospital in a critical condition.
On Saturday, police confirmed that Truman had died.
He was a well-known football supporter and was known for his involvement with the FIDA league in Melbourne’s west.
Truman was a long-time member of the All Abilities Cricket and Football Club of Wyndham. He was known for his achievements on the field.
In a statement, the club’s president said that they were deeply saddened by the sudden death of Truman.
The members of the football club that he was a passionate supporter of, the Williamstown Seagulls FIDA, were deeply saddened by his death.
They noted that he was always ready to talk to anyone. The police have identified the man who they believe killed him as Todd Menegaldo, and they are still searching for him.
Over the past couple of days, the police have carried out numerous searches in the area around the CBD, but they have not been able to find Menegaldo.
He is described as being of a medium build and with a black and white crossbreed terrier.
The police noted that he frequently visited the areas around Flinders St Station and Elizabeth St., as well as the towns of Mildura and Bendigo.
He was last seen wearing a purple jumper, dark jeans, and a yellow beanie. The police have released images of him in an attempt to get information about his current location.
