The Flinders Ranges in South Australia were hit by an earthquake that had a magnitude of 3.3 on Thursday morning.

It occurred about 500 kilometers away from Adelaide.

The region is known for its tourism.

The earthquake occurred shortly after a 3.6 magnitude tremor was felt in nearby Pt Pirie.

There are numerous faults that can be found in and around Adelaide, and it feels regular earthquakes.

One of these is the Para Fault, which runs from Gawler to the northern suburbs and is under the CBD.

The Willunga fault line goes through Willunga and reaches Sellicks Beach.

It is located west of Mt Bold Reservoir and passes through Willunga.
