A farmer who saw two men trespassing on his property hogtied them to his bike and drove them to the nearest police station.
He was apprehended after he drove them six kilometers. The pair, who were 20 and 17 years old, were strapped across the back and front of his vehicle.
Instead of asking them about the trespassing incident, the officers detained the man for interrogation. He was then arrested on suspicion of assault and false imprisonment.
One of the men said he felt frightened to death after the incident at the farm in Lancashire.
According to The Sun, which cited Leland Hornby, he and his friend were riding their electric bike across the field of the farmer on Saturday evening.
When they went back, the gates had been locked. The two men decided to leave the bike at the farm and return the following day.
The bike was nowhere to be found when the farmer returned. According to Mr Hornby, the man jumped off his bike and tackled them as they were walking back.
They tried to outrun the farmer, but he was able to catch them. He then reportedly hogtied them and prevented them from leaving the area.
According to Mr Hornby, he was on the back of the vehicle when the incident occurred. His friend was at the front.
The pair were captured on CCTV as the bike made its way through the roads before reaching the police station. Mr Hornby’s mother said that the men were scared for their lives.
She described the incident as terrifying. She said the pair almost fell off the bike. She was baffled by the farmer’s actions and was left upset by how he reacted instead of calling the cops.
The police responded to the farm after a man called the police and claimed to have detained two individuals.
When the officers arrived, the farmer called back to say that he had already taken them to the police station.
The police then found the pair, who were tied up on a quad bike, and noted that they were not secured to the vehicle. Social media users commended the farmer for his actions.
On Facebook, users commended the farmer for his actions. One of them commented on how brilliant the incident was and how justice had been served.
The individual was later released on bail while further investigations are carried out.
