A Christmas Reunion to Remember
Perth-born soccer superstar Sam Kerr and her pregnant fiancée, American soccer star Kristie Mewis, have finally arrived in Perth just in time for Christmas celebrations!
The loving couple landed at Perth Airport on Wednesday afternoon, looking carefree and casual after their long London flight.
Bumping Along
Kristie proudly showed off her growing baby bump in WA’s summer sun, sporting short leggings, a black cap, and a white crop top. Sam, dressed comfortably in green sports shorts, a black T-shirt, and white sneakers, accompanied her talented fiancée as they lugged their suitcases across the carpark.

Reuniting with Loved Ones
After arriving at Perth Airport, the 31-year-old local accompanied Kristie, 33, to her family home, where they were reunited with loved ones. The couple took a moment to acclimatize to the Perth heat, grabbing a couple of iced beverages to go.
A Sneak Peek into Their Perth Getaway
Later, Sam took to Instagram to announce their arrival, posting a story with the caption “Home”, standing at what appeared to be a jetty surrounded by canals. This isn’t the first time the couple has given their fans a glimpse into their personal life. In late November, they announced the news of their pregnancy, with Sam posting “Mewis-Kerr baby coming 2025!” on Instagram.
A Love Story
The couple went public with their relationship in 2021 following the Tokyo Olympics. In September 2023, Sam proposed to Kristie, and the rest, as they say, is history. This marks the couple’s third trip to WA in 12 months, with their last visit being in June this year.
On the Road to Recovery
As an aside, Sam is currently recovering from an ACL injury she sustained in January, which resulted in her absence from Australia’s Paris 2024 Olympics tilt. Signed to Chelsea, the soccer star is taking the time to focus on her recovery and enjoying the festive season with her loved ones.
