Jessica Parkinson, 29, Vanishes After Being Seen at Work
A desperate search is underway in London for an Australian woman who hasn’t been seen or heard from in over a week. Jessica Parkinson, 29, was last spotted at her workplace, Texas Joe’s Slow Smoked Meats in Bermondsey, on Wednesday, December 11.
Her disappearance was reported to the police just before midnight the following day.
Police Scour Eastbourne After Tip-Off
Detectives are now “very concerned” for Parkinson’s welfare and believe she may have been in Eastbourne, on England’s southeast coast, on Wednesday night. “Enquiries have led police to believe she had been in the centre of Eastbourne last night,” a Met Police spokesperson revealed.
Who is Jessica Parkinson?
Parkinson, who has been living in Greenwich, London’s inner southeast, for about two years, was described by her friends and family as someone whose disappearance is “out of character.” The Australian expat was last seen leaving her job at the popular BBQ joint in Bermondsey.
From Rental to Hostel: The Days Leading Up to Her Disappearance
Restaurant owner Joe Walters told the Daily Mail that Parkinson had recently been evicted from her rental and was living at St Christopher’s Inn hostel on Borough High Street. “She wasn’t very happy with that situation, which I can imagine, so we were trying to assist her with finding something, and we hadn’t made any progress with that. She was stressed out about it at the time,” Walters said.
What Does Jessica Look Like?
Parkinson is described as slim, about 5″4, with blue eyes and long reddish-blonde hair. If you have any information about her whereabouts or have seen her, please contact the police on 101, quoting CAD 111 19/12.
