A devastating incident has rocked the small coastal town of Beachport in South Australia’s southeast, leaving two men dead and a woman hospitalized after their boat capsized.
The victims, aged 82 and 69, and the 59-year-old woman, all from Millicent, were found unresponsive on the shore just south of Beachport on Monday morning.
What Happened?
According to reports, the three locals had been fishing in the area for over 30 years before something went terribly wrong.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths are not being treated as suspicious. SA Police and SAAS were called to the scene near Port Connor around 11:30 am, where they found the two men unresponsive.
Despite efforts to save them, they were declared dead at the scene.
The woman, believed to be the wife of one of the men, was rushed to the hospital, where she remains.
