A terrifying altercation on the roads of Melbourne’s west has left a man stabbed in the stomach.
The incident, which police believe was a case of road rage, occurred on Sayers Road in Tarneit yesterday.
What Happened?
According to police, the victim was driving his grey Nissan Altima when another vehicle cut him off.
Both drivers pulled over to the side of the road, and that’s when things took a turn for the worse.
The unknown driver, who was behind the wheel of a blue sedan, got out of his car and stabbed the victim in the stomach.
A Lucky Escape
Miraculously, the 30-year-old victim from Hoppers Crossing managed to drive himself to a nearby medical facility, where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are now searching for the culprit and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
